THE MOBILE COMMUNITY CHORUS
(MCC)
MCC – GMBACS or Mobile Community Chorus
GSPC – Government Street Presbyterian Church
ESCS – Eastern Shore Choral Society
The Mobile Community Chorus was formed in September, 1998, by Terry D. Maddox, M.M., Director of Music and Fine Arts for Government Street Presbyterian Church (GSPC).
The Chorus is an outreach program sponsored by GSPC.
NOTE: Congregational Hymns are not listed in these notes. When massed choirs perform, listed anthems are sung by all unless
otherwise noted.
December 4, 1998
– Candlelight Christmas at Oakleigh: Performance by MCC of a capella Christmas favorites during the then annual
Christmas musical presentations and other activities at the historic mansion. Local musical groups were invited to perform.
We performed at Oakleigh once or twice more in the
following years but did not keep the programs. The format of the event was later changed.
